As I write this mail to you I am breaching one of your golden rule “ sleep when
your baby sleeps” but its important to write you this mail. First of all a big
THANK YOU for all your teachings which has helped me go through one of the most
challenging experience of my life.
Thursday, 29th Oct 2009.
I was working till Thursday till 7pm in off. At night I did my perennial massage &
like every day routine revised my class notes thoroughly like a student appearing
for exam next day.
The D Day – Friday, 30th Oct 2009.
On Friday at around 4.30am I realized I have water leakage & called my doc who asked
us to come to hospital asap.
I had prepared my hospital bag well in advance one bag was with stuff required after
baby’s birth & the other bag had all my arms & ammunition to deal with labor. We
reached hospital by 5am & while my doc examined me, my cervics was not dialated at
all, I had no pain. My doc looked at me, smiled and said to be ready to deliver by
evening 5pm. Now I knew the only thing which will help me sail through next 12 hrs
was all taught during mock labor class. As I got settled in the labor room, I opened
my bag pulled out my class note book – my husband calls it my Bible of Dr. Rita
Shah. Light up a candle right in front to keep me motivated & positive, another book
with Picture as Focal point. Also I had decided to try out with the Bangle box which
you had told. I told my husband to quickly rush home take shower & bring some
breakfast before pitocin start showing its impact. Around 8-8.30 the contraction
started to begin, initially they were at 15-20 min.
